Actors:

Tony Beville closeTony Beville: Charley in Charles… and Sam in Diner…
Tony is psyched to part of the New Play Cafe once again, after last year’s bout of time-travel and fighting aliens. Over the years, he’s been seen on stages around San Diego in the various guises of a vampire, a Nazi, a Venetian reprobate, and an absurd English gentleman, among many others. A current resident of Kensington, he most likely rode his bike to this performance.

Suzana NorbergSuzana Norberg: Sami in Hunt(s) and Charlie in Charles…
Suzana grew up in Wisconsin, the offspring of highly-caffeinated immigrants who encouraged her to pursue a career in nursing. Knowing that her preference would never fly (to her Baltic grandmother, “actress” was synonymous with prostitutka) she chose a career in advertising copywriting. (“Pffffft,” said Grandma.) Eventually, via voiceover and standup, she worked her way over to film (independents, shorts, web series). And she’s thrilled to be making her theater debut with New Play Cafe.

Amada O'RourkeAmada O’Ruairc: Jess in Gospel… and Janet in Offline Daters
Amada loves performance. For almost two years now she has been acting around San Diego County, and hasn’t looked back since. She studies business and advertising alongside acting, and hopes to open her own agency one day in Los Angeles. Theater and camera work intrigue her, and she wishes to grow as a person through the arts. Many thanks to director Kevin Six for his artistic direction, and to David Hogan and Jennie Olson Six for writing such fun pieces. Enjoy the show, by all means.

David RollandDavid Rolland: Barnett in Offline Daters and Ricky in Talbot’s Shadow
Legends marks David’s San Diego stage debut and a return to the theater after a 13-year absence. From age 14, when he starred as Oliver Twist in Oliver!, into his 30s, David performed in academic and community settings, spanning drama, comedy, musicals, Shakespeare and late-night theater. His most recent performance was as Dan in Lee Blessing’s psychological drama Down the Road. In real life, David is the editor of San Diego CityBeat newsweekly.
